Club Church is one of the most popular gay cruise party venues in the city.  Facilities include a large bar area, dance floor, coat check, private cabins, dark rooms and showers.  Club Church has different themed parties each night of the week, including naked only nights, underwear, etc.  Check website for agenda. Tram 1,2 & 5 – get off at Keizergracht. Tram 7 & 10 and nightbus – get off at Leidseplein.  Closed Mondays.

Popular neighbourhood gay cruise club in the center of Amsterdam, just around the corner from The Web.  Cuckoo’s Nest opened in 1984 as a leather bar but now attracts a more a mixed (but still fetish-oriented) clientèle of both young and old, locals and tourists.

The ground floor is pretty much like a normal gay bar where it is entirely possible to enjoy a drink with friends. But it is the basement that attracts the most attention.  Downstairs is a very large play area with a labyrinth of private cabins.  The action here kicks off early in the afternoon and gets quite busy after work and late evening.

Amsterdam’s oldest gay leather and cruise club, located just 3 minutes walk from Central Station and Dam Square.  This world-famous venue has been around for more than 60 years and is renowned as having the first-ever dark room in Amsterdam.

There are two floors with a bar large play area with dark room, cabins and sling in the basement.  If you are into leather, rubber and uniform, this is where you should be.  The bar is also the meeting place for the bear community.

Dirty Dicks

Dirty Dicks is one of the oldest gay fetish institutions of Amsterdam.  This darkened sleazy gay cruise bar has two floors featuring a bar, dark room, smoker’s lounge, cabins, cubicles, bathtub, play zone and plenty of space for hot action.

The regular weekly parties are legendary (or perhaps ‘infamous’) for having some of the most extreme themes and intense action including naked dark cruising, full fetish weekends, and others we are not mentioning here!  Check website for full details.  There is no strict dress code but you are expected to dress to impress (e.g leather, rubber, uniform, army, construction etc.)  Condoms, lube, gloves and soaps are provided free. Dirty Dicks is located in the center of the city, close to Argos.

Popular gay cruise bar in the Warmoesstraat, close to Dirty Dicks and Argos.  Eagle is one of the city’s oldest gay leather/denim venues with three floors of fun – a bar on the ground floor, cruising area on the second floor, dark room in the basement.  There is a dance floor, smoking room and lounge area.  Very cruisy and crowded (particularly at the weekends), so expect plenty of action.  Check website for ongoing themed parties.

A place where gay men come out to shop and play.  Located only 5 minutes from Central Station, Drake’s is a sexshop with cruising area, featuring video-equipped cabins, small dark room, glory holes, etc.  Soft drinks and beer are available at the vending machine.  At the shop downstairs, you can buy all sorts of things like toys, lubricants, condoms and aromas.
