Group Trip Breakdown

Day 1: Basel
When you arrive at the airport you'll be privately driven to your hotel. Enjoy the day and evening at leisure to explore the city at your own pace.
Day 2: Basel
After savoring breakfast at the hotel, embark on a city tour of Basel's key attractions, encompassing the Basel Münster, town hall, and market square. Following the tour, the rest of the day is yours to explore the charming city of Basel at your own pace.
Day 3: Basel
Today, after breakfast, you'll visit Germany's Black Forest, including the famous Rothaus Brewery for beer tasting and lunch. Then, you'll enjoy a scenic drive to the Amadeus Queen. Upon boarding, you'll receive a warm welcome and find your pre-prepared stateroom. After settling in, join your group for a welcome cocktail, dinner, and LGBT-friendly entertainment.
Day 4: Strasbourg
We'll sail overnight to the Alsace region of France, once so bitterly contested with Germany in Europe's darker days. Spend the morning exploring this destination, visiting picturesque landscapes, romantic villages, and the famous wine route. In the afternoon you'll arrive in Strasbourg, a city with a charming old town to explore. Enjoy a walking tour of the historic old town before enjoying a dreamy boat tour on the river. You'll sail to Germany late in the evening.
Day 5: Speyer/Mannheim
In Speyer, explore the historic city with its Romanesque Imperial cathedral, baroque Church of the Holy Spirit, Old Gate, and medieval Judenhof, a significant Jewish site. Learn about the rich Jewish history spanning over 1,000 years. In Mannheim, visit Heidelberg, a picturesque University City on the Neckar River. Explore the well-preserved baroque Old Town, starting with a visit to the iconic Heidelberg Castle. Enjoy panoramic views from the castle terrace. Then, stroll through the charming old town, including the Karl-Theodor Bridge, the Church of the Holy Spirit, and the town hall. At night you'll sail towards Rüdesheim.
Day 6: Rüdesheim/Koblenz
In the morning you'll arrive at Rüdesheim, a winemaking town. Take a scenic tram ride on the Winzerexpress through the picturesque Rhine Valley. Visit a local winery to sample regional wines and explore the historic Drosselgasse, a charming cobblestone street lined with half-timbered wine houses, restaurants, and shops dating back to the 15th century. We'll then arrive in one of Germany's oldest towns, Koblenz. Embark on a walking tour of its romantic side streets, including the Basilica of St. Kastor and the Church of Our Lady. Then, experience a cable car ride to the impressive Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, the second-largest preserved fortress in Europe. Discover its rich history, diverse exhibitions, and stunning views.
Day 7: Cochem
In the afternoon, explore Cochem, a charming town in the picturesque Moselle wine valley. Take a city tour through its narrow, winding streets. Then, visit the impressive Reichsburg castle, perched on a rugged rock high above the town. Enjoy panoramic views of the Moselle valley, vineyards, and the old town. Inside the castle, discover a collection of Renaissance and Baroque furniture and other treasures once owned by the Ravene family, who later donated it to the town of Cochem for public enjoyment.
Day 8: Cologne
Explore vibrant Cologne, known for its rich history and iconic Cologne Cathedral. Walk through historic streets and squares like Alter Markt and Heumarkt. The cathedral, with its towering spires, is Germany's most famous monument. Conclude with a glass of Kölsch, Cologne's renowned beer.
Day 9: Amsterdam
After breakfast, you'll reach Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. Once a small fishing village, it blossomed into a major global port during the Dutch Golden Age. Today, it boasts a large historic center with 7,500 registered historic buildings and a street layout dating back to the 19th century. The city tour includes landmarks like the Royal Palace, canals, and the Museum Quarter. The tour concludes with a scenic canal cruise.
Day 10: Departure
Today you'll transfer to the airport for your return flight.

You’ll be sailing in style on the Lord of the Glens, a splendid Scottish cruise ship. It’s an elegant seafaring yacht that can sail through the Caledonian Canal but also sail the Atlantic. This will be an all LGBT trip of no more than 54 guests. Expect a Scottish breakfast every morning and nightly entertainment.
