About this Trip

Embark on a 13-day luxury LGBT Scotland tour, a journey that weaves through the heart of Scotland's majestic landscapes and rich history, from Inverness to the vibrant capital of Edinburgh. This exclusive tour is specially designed for the LGBTQI+ community.

Your adventure begins in Inverness, known as the capital of the Highlands. Explore the region's castles and battlefields, delving into Scotland's tumultuous past and enjoying the local highland fare.

The journey continues to the serene lochs of Loch Ness and Loch Lomond. Experience the beauty of the Glenfinnan Viaduct and embark on a quest to spot the elusive Loch Ness Monster.

The tour then takes you east to Stirling to witness the famous Kelpies, followed by a visit to St Andrews in the Kingdom of Fife. Explore St Andrews' ancient university town, the City of Dundee with its V&A museum, and the historic Glamis Castle.

The final leg of your journey brings you to Edinburgh, Scotland's charming capital, during the city's most exciting time - the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Edinburgh International Festival. Enjoy a cultural feast with performances and exhibitions catering to every taste. And if you wish to venture further, Glasgow, Scotland’s vibrant city, is just a 45-minute train ride away.

Group Trip Breakdown

Day 1-3 Inverness

Welcome to Inverness, where you'll settle down at the 5-star Ness Walk Hotel. After settling in, explore the city at your leisure. Head to the hotel for a welcome reception at 5.30pm to meet your fellow travelers. There's no included dinner this evening, so you're free to explore the many restaurants in Inverness. Start day two in Inverness with a leisurely breakfast. Then, enjoy a tour of Dunrobin Castle, one of Scotland's oldest inhabited houses, and the poignant Culloden Battlefield. The tour involves moderate walking and lasts approximately eight hours.
Day 3-6 Loch Lomond

Day 3 begins with a journey from Inverness to Loch Lomond, passing through Loch Ness and Fort William. After lunch, settle in at the 5-star Cameron House Hotel for a tranquil evening. The next day, you'll enjoy exploring Loch Lomond on a thrilling off-road driving experience, followed by a relaxing hilltop lunch while you enjoy the surrounding views. On day 5, customize your experience with optional activities like a Rib Boat adventure, a seaplane trip, or a visit to Inveraray Castle. Alternatively, relax at Cameron House Spa or explore the local village of Luss. The day concludes with a group dinner.
Day 6-9 St Andrews

Day 6 starts with a visit to Stirling Castle and the famous Kelpies, followed by a delicious lunch. Then, you'll check in at the 5-star Rusacks Hotel in St Andrews. Enjoy free time to explore St Andrews, a historic seaside town that's home to an ancient university. Next, you'll head to nearby Dundee to explore the V&A Museum of Design. You'll then head to Glamis Castle for afternoon tea, followed by a curry night in St Andrews. Day 8 is for personal exploration in St Andrews, before your bus ride to Edinburgh where you'll explore the city's gay bars.
Day 9-13 Edinburgh

Head to Edinburgh where you'll stay at the gorgeous 5-star Kimpton Charlotte Square hotel. Explore Edinburgh's Old Town on your first full day, a place rich in medieval architecture and history. Enjoy a unique LGBTQI+ social history tour with historical figures as guides, followed by free time to explore further. The next day you'll visit Glasgow for a city tour and afternoon tea, or explore the enigmatic Rosslyn Chapel. On day 11 you'll enjoy a leisurely morning in Edinburgh, before heading to an elegant State Dinner aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia. On day 12, enjoy Edinburgh at your leisure, followed by the vibrant Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, showcasing military and cultural pageantry. Your journey concludes on day 13, where you'll continue to either onward travel or your journey home.

Further Information

You’ll be sailing in style on the Lord of the Glens, a splendid Scottish cruise ship. It’s an elegant seafaring yacht that can sail through the Caledonian Canal but also sail the Atlantic. This will be an all LGBT trip of no more than 54 guests. Expect a Scottish breakfast every morning and nightly entertainment.
