Hotel Bagues *****

We love this luxury boutique hotel located on Barcelona’s famous La Rambla – right next to the city’s Gothic Quarter.  Behind the original façade of what was the historic palace of El Regulador is an uber-cool luxury hotel with 31 uniquely styled rooms.

The stylish guestrooms and suites (which we can confirm have been soundproof) feature fabulously comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, flat screen TV, iPod dock, a safe that can take a laptop, and WiFi.

The hotel’s restaurant Bistrot El Regulador is worth a special mention, as is the rooftop bar (that served us excellent cocktails), swimming pool and sun terrace.
