Atlantis Gate-crashes the Circuit Festival

Gay cruise specialist Atlantis has chartered one of the largest ships in the Mediterranean to whisk 2,500 guys away from Barcelona, just as this year’s Circuit Festival kicks off.

The cruise, which will take place in Malta, Sicily, Monte Carlo and an overnight stop in Ibiza is billed as offering fantastic days exploring classical ports, fascinating cities and onboard entertainment to match.

The scheduling could not be more exquisite, departing on the 2nd of August and arriving back in Barcelona at 6am on the 12th, just hours before the Water Park Day kicks off, an event that is the climax of Circuit Festival – Europe’s biggest gay dance festival.

Just how well this scheduling will go down with Circuit Festival organisers is yet to be seen, although it is probably fair to say that, given the broader age range that gay cruises tend to attract, not everyone on board will be rushing to disembark on the 12th.

But it’s not just Atlantis that is competing for your summer holiday spend. The revival of Mykonos as the destination of choice for many gay sun seekers continues apace.

After decades of losing out to Ibiza, the beautiful island of Mykonos has re-established itself as the destination of choice for many and a real alternative to Barcelona.  This year’s XLSIOR Festival  (20th-24th August) will see thousands of guys take part in one of the biggest dance parties ever seen on the island.

Gay cruise fans also have more choices than ever before with dance party organisers, La Demence, chartering the Zenith (19th-26th July) for a Mediterranean tour that takes place in Portovenere, Bonifacio, Palma and Mahan.

Decisions, decisions, decisions….
