start date 2017-09-18, finish date 2017-09-25
The 7th edition of The Cruise, an exclusively gay cruise presented by La Demence, takes you to on a new journey, from September 18th-25th.
This European gay cruise offers you a unique itinerary from Lisbon, one of the most charming capitals of Europe, sailing to Madeira and then visiting 5 of the 7 Canary islands, each of which is very unique.
“I went on the 2015 cruise around Italy with my boyfriend. I travel extensively both for work and pleasure, so I have a lot of comparisons. In terms of a gay holiday, this was absolutely amazing. It was the best holiday I have ever been on. I danced until dawn each day. It really was like being in another world. Most days the main club on the top deck would finish at 6am and the after hours club would start at 6am until sometime in the late morning. Super hot boys, super amazing parties, really good value for money. I can't wait until next year.“

Cruise experience defines what type of gay person you are.
“The Cruise 2016 was the second La Demence cruise me and my longterm boyfriend have been on. We had previously done the 2013 cruise (Athens - Tel Aviv). We are not into clubbing (the "circuit") so we did not go on this cruise for that reason. We went back for the fun and the unique experience a gay cruise is, but unfortunately this year there wasn't much fun to be had. This was a cruise of pretentious zombies, with only two things in mind: dancing and sex. I'm not a prude and I've been there seen it and done it too, but at 44 years of age my idea of a gay cruise is where you meet people, make friends, have good mature conversion (and then have sex!). We felt completely alienated from most people on board who are only interested in screwing as many guys as they can, and show off their perfect tattooed and sculpted bodies. If you're not in this category, forget it - it'll be the longest week of your life. Positive points: à la carte restaurant food was very good, entertainment was good, destinations were only ok (Palermo, Lipari, Amalfi, Sorrento, Capri). We made a mistake of purchasing 2 excursions. This was a waste of money. We could just as well have got off board and hired scooters and done the same thing ourselves at less than half the price. I would like to do one of these cruises again but not with a ship full of hollow zombee circuit boys. Ironically one of the most interesting men we met on the cruise was someone who enjoyed sailing and boating but was hating every second of the trip for the same reasons I have mentioned above. Are there any other discerning gay men out there who would like to go on a gay cruise but not be intimidated by other gay people they don't identify with?“

Le Paradis sur mer
“The Cruise 2016 was my second cruise (my first with La Démence), it was great from beginning to end. It's too hard to get back to reality. I will back next year!
C'était ma deuxième croisière, (ma première avec La Démence), c'était génial du début à la fin. C'est trop dur de revenir à la réalité.
Je remets ça l'année prochaine !“
