Why this hotel? Designer hotel. Contemporary style. Good location. Free WiFi.
For something not overly fancy but with plenty of style, we recommend the NH Milano Palazzon Moscova (formerly ‘Maison Moschino’). This good-value designer hotel would appeal to many gay guests.
The décor is very unique with one-of-a-kind furnishings and lots of personal touches. The hotel has its own gym and spa. Guest rooms feature satellite TV and free WiFi. Personal shoppers and customised tours can be arranged at the front desk.
The location is great – a 5-minute walk from Milan’s trendy Corso Como shopping district. Metro stations nearby, and gay bars on Via Sammartini are just 2 km away.
Radiating from the Duomo, Milan’s impressive gothic Cathedral, are streets filled with historical sights and museums. The nearby Quadrilatero della Moda is home to some of the world’s most famous luxury brands.

The stylish Yard Milano offers a choice of creative suites and rooms, each with its own theme such as hunting, horse-riding and rugby.
All rooms have big beds, free WiFi, LCD TV with Sky channels, iPod dock and Nespresso coffee machine. The top-floor penthouses have their own kitchen, wine cellar and terrace.
The adjoining fully-equipped kitchen is stocked with locally produced organic foods and fine wines. Either cook yourself or ask for a personal chef to knock something up.
The heart of the hotel is the lobby. Think of it as an exclusive private member’s club where you can enjoy brunch, a cocktail or watch a good movie.

Our list of the best luxury hotels in Milan would not be complete without the Armani Hotel, designed by Mr. Armani himself.
Housed in a gorgeous 1930’s building, the hotel offers 95 rooms and suites, all furnished with top Armani products. The spa, restaurant and gym all reflect Armani’s simple, sophisticated signature style.
Location-wise, the hotel just opposite the Montenapoleone metro station and a 10-minute walk to the Cathedral. Pricey, but you’re worth it.

Why this hotel? Unique theme. Excellent bar & dining. Central location. Free WiFi.
The Chateau Monfort is a recently renovated luxury hotel in the centre of Milan that has styling inspired by fairy tales. The result is something akin to an urban enchanted castle.
Each unique guest room has a fairy tale theme but with 21st century features like WiFi, LCD TV, soundproofing and air conditioning. It works well and is particularly appropriate for romantics who seek a happy ending.
The Monfort spa and restaurant are worth a special mention, both excellent and worth trying. There is a small gym, but we suggest working out with another sort of fairy at the Metro Club Milano gay sauna.
