Castel Plage,Quai des États-Unis, Nice, France

Very chic private beach, bar & restaurant, located at the eastern end of Promenade des Anglais, near the Chateau on the hill.

Castel Plage has a relatively sheltered beach, with private decking down to the waters edge. Always popular with the gay crowd.

Expect to pay for sun beds, shades and everything to want to eat and drink, but the service is fast and prices are reasonable. Recommended.

Nice enough

Friendly staff, mixed crowd. Seemed popular with the older crowd when I visited in July 2019 so pretty relaxed. A good location and smaller than the other beach clubs so feels more intimate. The change rooms are a bit pokey. The only other downside was the poor wifi but that's common in Nice despite there being no excuse for it these days. Suggest you have a good data package if travelling as it's frustratingly slow. Slightly pricey deal but within range of all beach clubs. Probably had something to do with the poor AUD exchange rate. Book the day before if could can. Full day before midday was around 20euro, and 18euro for half day. Oh and dont forget to bring slides or beach shoes because there's no elegant way to get in and out of the water without them. There are serious pebbles right along this beach.

Public Beach was VERY gay

Castel Plage (on the right side of the private club facing sea) was very gay on Saturday afternoon. Was wall-to-wall with guys, locals and tourists. Seems this is THE beach to go, not Coco Beach, which is a rock shelf with lots of families/straights. Very scenic!

Love it

Not exclusively gay but plenty of gay boys here, our favorite beach club in Nice

Nice place, beautiful view, but $€£!

Very beautiful. But don't expect some posh gay beach. Tons of kids and €30 bottles of wine. Truly beautiful though... wait staff is nice but slow...
