Never again

I understand that people need to make money but they don’t need to rip off people. I ordered gin and tonic. All I got was tonic water and when complained the guy at bar pretended as I was talking gibberish. It annoying that it’s such beautiful city with some great locals but just because of few people it’s put you off from going to bar and clubs.

The place you went is most probably not Chianti.

There are variety of bars and clubs on almost on every floor on same building and one of them (possibly the one on ground floor) is kind of tourist trap. Several people complained that they were invited in that bar as if it was Chianti where they wanted to overcharge them So please make sure to go to the right place. After entering the building you must climb up 2 stairways to reach Chianti Bar on 2nd floor (excluding the club at the basement floor which has a separate entrance). Chianti Bar has been there for more than 10 years, and nothing like this was heard about it. That rip-off club is new.

Thieves

They will set the table with stuff you didn't order, and they will ask you crazy amount of money, worse experience ever in a bar, place to avoid!

Not gay but more Metrosexual and ready to rip you off

I went there yesterday evening with my bf - was a bit hard to find, as we had no network coverage with our sim cards. When we entered, we were greeted friendly - we were told that 1 drink was 40 TRL, so we ordered a Whiskey-Coke each. Soon not only our drinks came (we don't know the brand of Whiskey they put into it, as Jack Daniels was unknown to our waiter), but also 3 fruit plates and some rosé sparkling wine and nuts etc. - all stuff, we had not ordered. The waiter smoked and asked us for a light, despite us stating that we do not smoke. Next, he offered us women and when we told him that we are gay, he offered us men. Soon after we arrived, the music volume was turned up to a level that can raise the dead and deafen the living. When we decided to leave, we were presented with a bill of over 400 TRL, including all the stuff, we had not ordered. We refused to pay the extras but did not even get our change for the 100 TRL note. So this is definitely not a gay bar and it is a tourist rip off!!! Beware!!

The place you went is most probably not Chianti.

Chianti Bar has been there for almost 10 years and no such thing is possible there or in any regular gay venue. The place you went is obviously not Chianti. There are variety of bars and clubs on almost on every floor on same building and one of them (possibly the one on ground floor which was opened recently) is kind of tourist trap. Several other people complained that they were invited in that bar as if it was Chianti where they wanted to overcharge them. I would like to make a warning for other people. Please make sure to go to the right place. After entering the building you must climb up 2 stairways to reach Chianti Bar on 2nd floor (excluding the club at the basement floor which has a separate entrance).

Good Cafe Bar

If you meet with a friend and want to have a chat over a beer, then this is the ideal place for you. It has a nice little back garden and the music is not too loud. Friendly staff & atmosphere, drinks could've been cheaper tho.
