2017-01-01 H.I.M. - new party from Belgium debuts in London, with DJ Samy Jo, Fat Tony and Adam Turner - from 10:30pm-6am
The world-famous Heaven nightclub is one of the longest-running gay dance venues in Europe. Today, it is home to the G-A-Y dance party on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Popcorn mixed party on Monday nights.
G-A-Y continues to attract the biggest acts to perform live on stage every weekend. Expect plenty of disco divas and a younger, trendy and somewhat camper crowd.
Upset, bouncers are a joke
“”Well, here is the conversation with Mr. Campbell, head of security, G-A-Y “Heaven” tonight:
“Why are you not letting us in? (me, my wife and her girlfriend – young group of properly dressed friends all enthusiastic about seeing Austrian ESC’14 Winner Conchita).
Cause you are not members and your wristbands don’t work tonight (entry wristbands are dispensed at G-A-Y Soho literally hours before the event).”
We catch a group of girls leaving the place:
“Girls, are you members here?
No, we just popped in an hour ago.
Mr. Campbell, how can you explain these girls inside while not being members or even having wristbands from Soho branch?
It’s a life. I’m just saying No to you.
It’s an abuse of power, Mr. Head of security.
It’s a life.”
I admit we may not have looked gay enough for the place, but apart from that.. It’s an abuse of power, Mr. Campbell.
Hope the management is aware now.”

“Just goes to show how much of an international institution G.A.Y has become when it can command live on stage performances by Miley Cyrus (9th May). She put on an amazing show performing “Wrecking Ball” etc. Keep it up Jeremy.”

Best gay club - hands down!
“Hot men, cheesy tunes and so many dance floors to choose from that you’re bound to find something that suits you. I like that there’s a mixture of students, straight women and older guys dancing to the likes on One Direction and Rihanna. Drinks are quite pricey, but comparable to other London venues. Lots of dark corners too for a bit of privacy, if that’s what you’re in to!”
