8.39 Excellent - based on 2106 reviews

The great-value ibis Brighton City Centre has a good location, close to the train station, a 5-minute walk to the ‘The Lanes’ shopping area, and about a 15-minute walk downhill to the gay bars on the seafront.

Each modern guest room features a surprisingly comfortable bed (we’ve tried it), free WiFi, flat screen TV, desk and tea & coffee makers. Some of the top floor rooms also have (distant) sea views.

The hotel has its own stylish cafe / bar which serves great freshly baked croissants and other bakery products for breakfast. Popular budget option.
