The gay beach is located close to beach bar “Hut 7” on the shoreline in front of Maspalomas Sand Dunes.
This is a clothing-optional beach, although many prefer to keep their privates in the shade. Sun beds and shades are available for hire.
Drinks and snacks (sandwiches etc.) are available from Hut 7. This is a very popular and very friendly bar, but not the cheapest in town. Toilets available.
The beach is not the easiest to reach. There are two routes.
1) Take at taxi to Plaza del Faro in Maspolomas and then walk along the beach to Hut 7.
2) Walk across the sand dunes from the Riu Palace Maspalomas in Playa del Ingles. Go through the archway at the Rui Palace and then on to the dunes. You will find path in the sand that leads to the beach.
The dunes, particularly the bushy areas, are popular cruising grounds in their own right, especially in the late afternoon. Make sure you have a bottle of water with you as some of the dunes, which rise to up to 20 metres in some areas, can be quite a challenge to cross.
The wind and sun can be very strong. Take plenty of protection for your skin and any games you might have in the Dunes.
