Avenida Armada Española, Benidorm, Spain
One of Benidorm’s most popular beaches, attracting tourists and locals alike. Stretching for over 3km, the mostly sandy Poniente Beach runs southwest from Benidorms Old Town.
In recent years local government has invested heavily to improve the beach and its excellent tree lined promenade. The most gay popular area is close to the Old Town, within easy reach of the ReFuel Cafe Bar.
No Gay to find
“There is a gay beach, but there is no gay. Only old people and couples but no gays.”

No gay beach at all
“We have been there in August and there was no gay beach – sure you can see some gay guys but not many. The beach is full with children and their parents. Torremolinos or Gran Canaria is much better. Also at other beaches at the center of Benidorm exist no gay beach.”

No gays, just elderly
“Been here at the end of July. The beach was crowded with elderly men and women, as well as straight couples with their babies, that’s it! and the same can be said about the other two beaches in town recommended here as “gay beach”. The only gay beach is Raco Conil, a nudist beach 8 km away from here. I wish I had known this before booking a whole week in Benidorm.”
