No visit to gay London could be complete without at least one drink at the famous Royal Vauxhall Tavern. This pub is believed to be London’s oldest gay venue and remains the cornerstone of the Vauxhall gay village.
Today, the RVT is renowned for its hugely popular drag shows, comedy performances and fun party nights. Particularly popular on Sunday afternoons – expect to queue. Nearest Underground: Vauxhall

venue: bar | features: bar, music, dancing, cabaret show | customers: gay
“Sunday afternoons at the RVT have been legendary for years and still great fun. Worthwhile to check out some other nights too for an interesting range of shows. Saw the Lipsinkers here on my recent visit to London (October 2013) and they were hilarious, but he crowd was rather small for a Friday night - suspect that the rather steep entrance fee does not help.“
