Mr B

I have bin to the splash many time in the past but I can't believe there's not going to be a new gay sauna in Liverpool. When Liverpool city council have a gay pride every year to show they welcome gay men to the city.

Support your community

Now been gone quite a while and doesn't look like anything else is going to replace it in the city centre. I do get what people were saying about cleanliness, but the problem was there was only ever a small trickle of guys going in here. That meant to make the sums add up its staffing levels had to kept very low, and with it time for cleaning. Until gay Liverpudlians stop buying into the Manchester hype machine and fully support facilities like this when they open though, there isn't much hope of the cycle of poor customer levels leading to poor quality environments being broken.

Closed down

Finally closed. some statement given about increased rent, but suspect the owner didn't want to spend the money on renovations that it desperately needed.

Good for Fun

Enjoyed my time at this place until told to 'get out the Jacuzzi' it needs cleaning. We need to clean the Jacuzzi and when you are ready, would suffice. I felt like a stowaway that shouldn't of been there. £15 to be spoken to like that! I like most of the staff but there is some that are less desirable. Make your own mind up. You have been warned!

Don't bother

Dirty, staff unhelpful, jacuzzi not working, and the place smells like the sewers was coming up from underground. Don't know where they got the pictures from on there web site if they must of taken then about 20 plus years ago.

Dirty and dark

There is dust everywhere and the floor with sauna, showers and jacuzzi stinks. Pity because the house itself is beautiful and there is a wonderful old parquet wooden floor. But the whole atmosphere is so bad, and the fact that when you get in there you get dirtier that you were before getting in.

Unbelievable

This has to be the worst sauna I have ever experienced. Filthy dirty, in desperate need of some TLC. The steam room absolutely stinks. Avoid unless totally desperate.

Needs an overhall

Travel with work and popped in yesterday and today to the Splash Sauna. It's so dirty and smells bad, the place needs a overhaul! No Jacuzzi working. The floor in the steam room smells so bad. The floor areas are filthy. I so wanted to take some photos It's a shame if it was done up it would attract more guys, there was only 2 guys in.

Rather neglected

Good location and good size building. Shame it looks like it hasn't been touched since the 1980''s. Very poor when you compare it to other saunas in UK cities! Was also very quiet but I was there on a Tuesday night might be busier at weekends. Also very small hot tub. Sauna and steam room but a large room with outdated gym equipment no one was using?

Nice enough

Doesn't match up to bigger places in Manchester, but it's clean and friendly

Just standard

Well I have been here a Saturday night, it was empty. Regarding other gay saunas in Europe this is just disappointing. I can't believe that in this Jacuzzi fit more than 5 people? It's not worth money!
